That call came yesterday. His FM3 card was going to be ready today. He just needed to bring his pictures and show up at 11:30 a.m. Seymore wiled away the early morning hours. At 10:30 a.m., he scrambled to get everything he needed for the trip. Another quick lesson on how to use the cell phone and a reminder about stopping at the ice maker store ... then he was gone.
Two hours later he came back. No FM3 card! Seems that Seymore hadn't seen his wallet on the table; he had assumed it was in the travel bag with his Kindle, phone, and notebook. Now, Seymore never puts his wallet any place but in his "safe" pocket. He hadn't noticed that he didn't have it until it was his turn to hand over the little photos. The photos were in his wallet. No trouble said the lawyer who was helping him. Just go down to the drug store and get some more pictures made. Problem! All of Seymore's money was in his wallet.
He called the lawyer's office and made an appointment for Friday. At 1:30 p.m., he got a call from the lawyer's office. Seems that once you start the process in the immigration office, you have to finish it that day. Everything is dated. So, off Seymore went again. This time with his wallet and nothing else to distract him. He successfully made it back with his card making him legal in Mexico.
